Dr Jonathan Jones

Jonathan is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist. He graduated from Plymouth University Doctoral Clinical Psychology training in 2002 and has worked in adult mental health and learning disability services in the NHS, the private sector, and in the New Zealand public health service. He has worked with people with Autism and other Neurodiversity in various roles, since 1989. He has experience of working with children in school and residential settings, and adults in Day Centres, NHS Community Mental Health and Learning Disability teams, secure hospitals and Social Care settings.

Jonathan is registered with the Health Professions Council and has extensive experience assessing and diagnosing Autism using the Diagnostic Interview of Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) since 2005.

Jonathan has a very positive view of Autism and other Neurodiversity. He understands that there are many difficulties experienced by people because of neurodiversity but that it also brings great strengths and personal qualities.

Dr Robin Colley

 

Dr Robin Colley is a Specialist Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience working in the NHS and private settings with adults and children including mental health, neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological settings.

 

Robin is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and has completed training leading to

accreditation in use of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) and Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised (ADIR). He is experienced in the use of psychological and clinical procedures (such as interview, observation, psychometrics, and diagnostic assessment) to assess people with an Autism Spectrum Condition. He has also gained significant experience working with persons with autism and factors that should be considered when assessing autism. Including learning disability, attachment difficulties, mental health needs, and trauma.

 

Robin is a seasoned clinician and therapist who has worked significantly with children, adults, families and staff teams. In the assessment and treatment of difficulties with mental health, behavioral issues, neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological needs. With a masters in psychology and a doctorate in clinical psychology, Robin is up to date on the relevant clinical literature and evidence base and draws on key frameworks (included in his training and continuing professional development) within his work. Including Positive Behaviour Support (PBS); Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
